Convention Card

This is a card we made at convention. I must admit though, that in my excitement I did rush a little, and so you will notice that some of my stamping is rather crooked. I dedided to put my pride aside and show you that even imperfect stamping can still be quite effective.
Personally I think our products are of such quality that if you get the colours and accessories right you can get away with a mistake here and there. For example the ribbon on this card is a focal point that tends to draw your eye away from the stamping rather quickly. You look at the card and notice the trees and then your eye is immediately drawn to the ribbon. The earthy colours work well together creating a peaceful harmony and this is one of the things I love about Stampin' Up! product. It is so easy to get your colours right with our colour families and matching accessories. Sorry if you think this as a sales pitch, it's not meant to be. It is how I genuinely feel about it.

Before I list off the supplies used, notice that I have stamped just one tree on the outside of the envelope to give the recipient a taste of what is to come. I lined the inside of the envelope using Designer Series Paper from the "Windsor Knot" pack. Stampin' Dimensionals are also used to lift some of the cardstock layers away from the base. I have taken a picture at an angle to pick this up, but thought I best point it out in case you missed it.

Until next time, happy stamping!
