Watercolour Paper

If there is a product that I especially love to use for watercolouring it has to be watercolour paper. There is nothing like it for getting well blended results!

For this card, I used one of the most versatile Stampin' Up! sets "Lovely As A Tree". The background is painted first using re-inkers and water on wet watercolour paper. Use long sweeping strokes that begin and finish off the paper. Allow the paper to dry completely before stamping using "Stazon" Timber Brown. Trim off unsightly edges and mount onto Chocolate Chip cardstock remnant. Stamp a greeting onto Always Artichoke and punch out using tag punch.

Attach tag to linen thread and tie around chocolate chip card. A Stampin' Dimensional will secure tag without it losing its the 3D effect. Mount onto Always Artichoke card base. Attach three More Mustard brads to bottom right corner.

  1. By looking at this card, I can now appreciate why you like this stamp set so much. I may be converted to the tree side of stamping sooner than I had expected.

The technique certainly helped!! Great card.
