I had a wonderful time at our annual Stampin' Up! convention. This year it was in Sydney, so I decided along with a couple of my local Stampin' Up! buddies that we would pay extra to stay in the city and avoid the daily family hassles. The luxury of being right there would mean I would have better focus and more sleep. It was a great idea except that we only had a few hours sleep the first night due to annoying evacuations. The smoke alarms saw us out on the street at 1am and the 3am and we had to be out of bed by 6:30am. Worse still I was the only one of my friends to drag myself out there in PJ's, fluffy slippers and dressing gown.
Anyhow the upshot of that is I can't really remember much of the first day. It has all become a blur. Luckily I  had my camera to photograph a few things along the way or I would have forgotten them forever. Regardless of our misfortune I got to swap cards with many other demonstrators and see some great ideas demonstrated... How nice it was to be on the receiving end of the demonstations!
I will be postiong some of the images from convention over the coming weeks and I am sure you will enjoy them as much as me. I cannot show you anything at all from the new catalogue due in September as it is against Stampin' Up! policy, but I can tell you the limited number of sneak peeks I got to see were quite exciting.
So here are the first images I have for you

Aren't these just adorable little cards? They were demonstrated by Bonnie Thurber who was here from the United States. She was a funny lady, but had lost her voice. Can you imagine that, an American without a voice! Anyway she did a great job and lack of voice did not stop her from getting the message across.
This is an inexpensive way to get started cardmaking, or just to give a unique little gift. This stamp sells singularly and is in the current mini catalogue on page 35 for only $11.95. Bonnie has also used a little bit of Dazzling Diamonds to give that shimmer you can see on the tea cups.
Thanks for looking and check back frequently as I do my best to post more exciting ideas.
