My Paper Flowers

Well here is something I made using Designer Series Paper and an inkpad. It can be a little tedious at first, but gets easier with each flower. "Man hands" are of no help, so if your paws are on the small side all I can say is lucky you!

These paper flowers were made using a corner rounder punch to scallop the edge of a cut a strip of paper. The paper was sponged both sides with Calypso Coral inkpad. I place snail along the straight edge to help me hold things in place.

The paper was then carefully wrapped around a skewer to form a cone like shape. I pinched and gathered the paper up as I went to create volume. Careful scrunching of the petals will also add some shape.

Then the skewer was removed and the flower carefully inserted onto a twig. Florist tape was then wrapped around the base of each flower to form the bud and hold the flower in place.
